Shack-Fest 2012...
Hi all. A few hours spent at an enjoyable Shackerstone Family Festival today. As usual myself and Maisie got in for pretty much nothing as I work on the railway next door. There were 3 full size engines and 6 miniatures in action on the field. Mind you, one of the miniatures could hardly be called miniature. The 6" scale Burrell Road Loco "Wandering Star" (pictured) could not possibly be a miniature: it was big and beautiful. Thats one for the wish-list! As well as the steam exhibits there was alot going on including a large gathering of working narrowboats, vintage cars, a funfair, arena displays, trade stands, childrens attractions, fly-overs, sheep herding, lawnmower racing...you name it. Well worth a few hours out in my book. Cheers guys...
