An Easy Day On 3803...

Hi guys. A quiet, enjoyable and seemingly easy day today on Great Western 2-8-0 No3803 at Shackerstone. I arrived at 6:30am and got the loco lit before Driver Eddie arrived about an hour later. Together we prepped the locomotive before taking it out into the platform to do a stock shunt at about 10:20am. We then had Breakfast on the Shovel which we managed to eat (very nice too!) before departure at 11:15. The day went very well and we shared the footplate with Trainee Dennis. Though it was fairly uneventful it was very enjoyable and I thank the lads for their good company. As well as firing 2 of the trips I also drove 2 trips as well which was very enjoyable indeed. 3803 performed very well once again. Cheers guys - Sam...
